- Additional information
The Crann Bethadh, usually a gigantic oak, was the center of the Celts’ encampment. It provided shelter, warmth and food for all. The Crann Bethadh had large branches reaching upwards and roots spreading deeply below symbolizing the Druids’ belief in that the tree was a link between heaven and the other world. The tree was a large part of the Celts’ spiritual life. The Tree of Life represented harmony and balance as well as strength, longevity and wisdom.
It was the Celts’ who envisioned a tree where there might be secret doors leading to enchanted places. This particular Tree of Life is a wonderful illustration of that belief. The branches and roots have a life of their own and you may well believe you have been borne away to your own sleepy hollow!
This Tree of Life is the largest of our trees and is exceptionally tooled showing the tiniest of details. It is handcrafted in .925 sterling silver. Several chain options are available.
