The Celtic Cross dates back to the time of the Druids and many of these crosses still remain in Celtic lands and may be found  in cemeteries. These crosses were usually sculpted out of sandstone and many reached a height of 20 feet so they were an imposing sight. There are different interpretations re the specific parts of  the crosses but it is widely accepted that the Celts adopted the angular Roman cross and the circle was added to represent the Celts’ belief in life’s never ending circle. The Celtic Crosses were beautifully decorated with intricate linear patterns.
This Cross is a good example exhibiting a Celtic Knot on the circle and Trinity Knots on the 4 points. The Celtic Knot represents the Celts’ belief in the never ending circle of life and the Trinity Knot depicts The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
This is one of our larger Celtic Crosses and is suitable for all. It is handcrafted in .925 sterling silver. Several chain options are available.
